Hans has been with Philips/NXP Semiconductors since 1985, in various roles across several countries. Hans started in the Systems and Concepts Lab of Philips Semiconductors on RF tuner innovation and moved in 1990 to Japan/Tokyo to become the Regional Application Lab Manager for Asia. After the Asia exposure, he moved in 1994 to Germany/Hamburg for high-end TV Products followed by a move to Ireland/Dublin to take the leadership position in the Silicon Division of Silicon & Software Systems. Hans returned to the Netherlands in 1998 for a position in Philips Components as General Manager of the BU Thin Film Components and in 2001 returned to Philips Semiconductors in different CTO staff functions.

His experience in technology and innovation spans 20 years, and covers Mobile Communications, Internet, IT, and Lighting. Prior to joining Philips Lighting, Musa held positions with Bell Labs and Alcatel-Lucent, and served in senior leadership roles in various standards bodies, trade organizations and industry consortia. Musa received a BSc and MSc degree in Computer Science from Twente University and MBA degrees from TiasNimbas Business School and University of Bradford School of Management.
